Stephanie Burns Fine Art is in a unique position to offer arts institutions major private art collectors a wide range of services due to the specialised skills and experiences of the directors - Stephanie Burns and Stephen Hooper.
Stephanie Burns has work in the arts industry in Britain and Australia for the last twenty-five years. During this time Stephanie Burns has published a magazine, edited several books on art, commissioned and published pamphlets of lectures by eminent people, curated over a hundred exhibitions, and taught as an art lecturer at the National Art School in Sydney. As a professional artist Stephanie Burns has won a number of awards and produced art works for twelve solo exhibitions and over sixty group exhibitions in the Britain and Australia. Stephanie Burns has also been appointed as a valuer for the Commonwealth Governments Cultural Gifts Program.
Stephen Hooper is an Economist with experience as a commercial art gallery director and over twenty years experience in analysing markets and providing strategic planning and research for the Commonwealth Government of Australia. Stephen Hooper has had over 100 articles and research reports published by the Australian Government's internationally renowned research agency the Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics and Sciences.
These skills mean that Stephanie Burns Fine Art is able to provide an extensive range of services to its clients. These include, but are not limited to:

• Valuations of private and public art collections.Valuations for the Australian Governments Cultural Gifts Program. These valuations can also provide condition reports and advice on de-accessions from public collections.Strategic reviews of art collections and facilities. This analysis provides you with strategic goals and planning to realise opportunities to enhance the financial and cultural returns from your art collection and facilities.
• Management services to oversee the implementation of art purchasing programs and actions to address issues identified as part of a strategic review.

Stephanie conducts Art Valuations for Insurance and other asset management purposes.

The Secretary to the Department of communications, Information Technology and the Arts has approved Stephanie Burns from 8 April 2008 to undertake valuations for the Cultural Gifts Program run by the Australian government, in the following classes of property:
Australian paintings, sculptures, ceramics, drawings and prints after 1900 and artists and writers archives after 1950.
The Cultural Gifts Program encourages gifts of significant cultural items to public art galleries, museums and libraries by offering donors a tax deduction for the market value of their gifts. The Secretary to the Department of Communications and the Arts appoints valuers to participate in the program. Valuers are required to carry out valuation work with diligence and competence and act at all times with honesty, integrity and impartiality.
